Systems Administrator - Intermediate

  • Install, configure, and operate various virtualized environment components (e.g., vSphere, vCloud, vCenter, ESXi, virtual machines, virtual switches, hypervisors).
  • Install new software releases and system upgrades; evaluate and install patches; resolve software related problems.
  • Work in conjunction with the Client Information Protection Officer to identify and mitigate OS and software security vulnerabilities on all servers, workstations, and network devices, unless security vulnerabilities are required to complete training tasks on student mission training systems.
  • Work with Information Protection Officer to mitigate all vulnerabilities on multiple networks.
  •  Administer mission-specific software applications (e.g. NetCool, ACT, NetCDS, SWIC, ACUMEN) and various client applications and any future applications added to the network.  Applications will be administered according to C-CS Maintenance Technical Orders unless authorized by C-CS configuration control board, Engineering review board.
  • Manage implementation of C-CS projects and ensure C-CS architecture, configuration, and integration conformity.
  • Ensure new systems or system interfaces are in compliance with established DoD and AF policies and directives.
  • Ensure technical solutions integrate with existing or proposed systems.
  • Maintain documents on implementing of C-CS.
  • Determines adequacy and correctness of C-CS project packages and amendments.  Process tasking documents.
  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP). Preferably VCP 5.5
  • Certification in DoD 8570.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program) Information Workforce Technical Category I (IAT-II) certification.
  • Top Secret Clearance


Systems Administrator - Intermediate

3+ years of experience in performing software installations and

upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.

3+ years of experience in evaluating, implementing, and

managing appropriate software and hardware solutions

3+ years of experience in conducting hardware and software

audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with Air

Force and Department of Defense standards, policies, and

configuration guidelines.


Certification in DoD 8570.01-M (Information Assurance

Workforce Improvement Program) Information Assurance

Workforce Technical Category I (IAT-II) certification

Current Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance
