Job Title:  Senior Cybersecurity Architect

 

Summary of Position:

Responsible for analysis and integration of evolving technologies for cybersecurity and public key infrastructure to enable new and legacy systems throughout the Air Force to use strong authentication methodologies.  The chosen applicant will setup and maintain a mixed OS network infrastructure for the Systems Integration Lab to evaluate and enable IA section products and evaluate future IA capabilities.  Requires communication and technical skills to coordinate Air Force efforts with personnel that span from program managers to technicians throughout the DoD. 

 

Essential Job Requirements:

·       In-depth knowledge of network configurations and components, ability to setup and maintain a mixed OS network environment

·       Specific experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux, and/or Unix operating systems to properly configure them within secure IT infrastructures

·       In-depth knowledge of Nutanix, VMWare, Hyper V and other virtualization products and the ability to quickly deploy and maintain virtual infrastructure components

·       Ability to manage solution development and implementation strategies for multiple systems at a time

 

Required Education:

•       Masters of Science Degree preferred (10 years of experience can be a substitute)

•       Cybersecurity Certifications (e.g. CISSP, Sec+) preferred

•       Certifications/Training associated with HP, Cisco, Dell, VMWare, Palo Alto, Oracle, and/or IBM preferred

 

Required Experience (10 years):

•       Experience in the IT and cybersecurity community.

•       Direct work with single-sign on capabilities, (preferably some work in non-Windows environments)

•       Experience in providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

 

Required Skills:

•       Project management – Must be able to maintain awareness of multiple projects’ status and how they fit into larger mission sets.  Ability to articulate potential delays in relation to mission and financial impacts.

•       Analytical skills - Must be able to evaluate policy and guidance, technology advancements in PKI, and operational requirements to formulate implementation strategies in the AF.

•       Communication and Interpersonal - Strong interpersonal skills in order to collaborate / coordinate AF PKI positions with DoD PKI subject-matter experts and decision makers

 

Physical Requirements:

This is a standard office environment and requires lifting and moving of standard personal computers, files, and supplies. 

 

Equipment Used:

Personal computers, software, and government phone systems and networks.

 

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Secret clearance.
