Summary of Position

Responsible for Financial Management and Contract Compliance at the Air Force Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Program Office.  The chosen applicant will develop, monitor and report on contract budgets/expenditures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and in compliance with all federal, state and private regulatory guidelines including applicable Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).  The chosen applicant will coordinate efforts between project managers or directors to resolve bottlenecks or streamline overarching development efforts.  The applicant will develop cost projections and financial proformas for short and long-term planning

 

Essential Job Requirements

·         Superior working knowledge of Microsoft office products to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.  Particular knowledge of Excel with pivot tables, subtotals, vlookup, and other functions as well as graphs/charts/tables

·         Ability to project contract costs based on current burn rates, hiring decisions, and other trade spaces available to the Program Manager

·         Ensure project/contract costs are accounted for in accordance with contract terms and appropriate reconciliations are documented with the internal accounting system.

·         Thorough understanding of Air Force contracting guidance to assist contract lead in adhering to FAR and Task Order requirements

Required Education

•          Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

•          Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

 

Required Experience (20 years)

•          Extensive experience with governmental accounting for federal, state and private funding sources.  Experience in audit liaison roles with internal, external and federal/state audit agencies.

•          Experience with large and small accounting systems from development, testing and implementation that includes documentation of the system business processes and business process changes as needed

•          Prior experience should demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot failure points, ineffective or inefficient processes, and weaknesses that create a risk in supporting the accounting and business needs. 

 

Required Skills

•          Analytical skills - Must be able to evaluate policy, guidance, and operational requirements to inform implementation strategies in the AF.

•          Communication and Interpersonal - Strong interpersonal skills in order to collaborate / coordinate AF PKI positions with DoD PKI subject-matter experts and decision makers

 

Physical Requirements

This is a standard office environment and requires lifting and moving of standard personal computers, files, and supplies. 

 

Equipment Used

Personal computers, software, and government phone systems and networks.

Security Clearance

Position requires an ability to acquire a Secret clearance.

Active Secret clearance preferred.
