Sr. Application Developer

Roles & responsibilities

Analyzes, documents, designs and develops information technology (IT) hardware and software systems including writing, modifying and adapting computer programs in high-level programming languages including C, C++, Objective C, python, and Java. Performs research on applications for hardware, software and operating systems.

Analyzes redundant software architectures and develops a combination plan that meets existing requirements while maximizing economy of scale through combination of the systems. 

Analyzes existing infrastructure and recommends upgrades to meet new requirements. 

Develops change requests to modify the baseline configurations.  Plan and execute integration tests.  Provide documentation to support IA accreditation.

Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems, flow, data usage, and work processes, investigation problem areas.  Follows the software development lifecycle.  Develops code.  Writes scripts for unit testing.  Performs unit testing.  Writes supporting documentation.

Updates source code to incorporate additional capabilities.

Traces requirements to software implementation.  Oversees PKE custom software development.  Performs code reviews.  Develops PKE custom software.  Develops and maintains RMF artifacts.

Configures the existing network appliances or internet portal when revisions are required by Governance Board Objectives.  Ensures CSP web portal is configured correctly.

Qualifications

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering.

5 years of computer experience in at least two of the following disciplines: system analysis, system programming, application programming, and equipment analysis.

At least 2 years of experience developing applications for PKI using advanced technologies, including Internet protocols or web-based technology.

Top Secret clearance.

U.S. citizen
